WSI Further Expands Relationship with Senior Living Chain

WSI Digital Marketing has recently launched SEO efforts for a 5th location of MorningStar Senior Living, a network of over 20 senior living communities located in the Western US. 

The implementation for MorningStar’s Phoenix location has now been completed and resulted in 15 new 1st page rankings, and over 350 lead forms and calls from organic visitors.   

The 2nd location, MorningStar Senior Living of Sparks, continues in the off page optimization phase and after only three months has seen a tremendous increase in first page rankings and an uptick in visits and leads as well. Further expansion to two additional locations in April and May including MorningStar at Arrowhead and MorningStar at Bear Creek are also beginning to showing progress.

Happy with the success so far, MorningStar has again expanded the program to include another Phoenix area location: MorningStar Assisted Living & Memory Care of Fountain Hills, their newest community in the Valley of the Sun scheduled to open in the fall of 2016.

For the on-page optimization, we focused on 5 pages on the main MorningStar site.  Since each community offers a different mix of services and focused geographic areas, the keywords mapped to the pages differ across communities.  You can see the pages optimized for the Fountain Hills community here.

With the SEO optimized pages now up on the site the off page optimization is beginning.  Initial off page strategy includes citation building for the community as well as an intensive blogging effort. These high quality blogs will be syndicated to WordPress, Weebly, Blogger and Tumblr.  Each month of the SEO implementation will be monitored and carefully tracked along with the other communities.  Key metrics that will be measured include links, rankings, organic visits and leads from organic visitors.

What is Marketing Automation? Is It Right For My business?

Marketing Automation helps companies with lead generation, segmentation, lead nurturing, lead scoring, customer lifecycle marketing, cross/up-selling, customer retention and marketing ROI measurement.

According to Forrester Research “Companies that excel at lead nurturing generate 50% more sales at 33% lower cost.”

 I mean, like, who doesn’t want all that, right? 

While it’s one of the hottest areas in marketing today and an alluring “buzz word”, the fact is not every business is a good candidate for Marketing Automation (MA). 

In fact, attempting MA prior to having certain other processes in place can be a big mistake (or, at minimum, a waste of time and money) based on the business size and where it is in its cycle of marketing and sales processes evolution.

Like all technology, MA is susceptible to the “human factor”, particularly with regard to Sales.  If a business already has a viable CRM system in place and procedures that are accepted and well ingrained within its sales force, MA might be a good next step.  If not, an appropriate CRM could be an interim step coupled with more top-of-funnel activities.

To be clear, MA works not only to bring in more top-of-funnel prospects, but particularly focuses on middle-of-the-funnel actions and tracking to nurture prospects along through the sales cycle until they are “sales qualified”. Only then are they presented as actionable leads to the sales team.   

Another thing to consider is the length of your sales cycle.  If you offer a product or service that is a quick sell or impulse buy, there may not be much time in the sales cycle for lead nurturing, so MA may not be an appropriate tool, at least for the initial purchase.

If you run your business with an eye to the long term relationship you are building with your customer, then even for a short buying cycle type product, MA can be used to nurture that relationship and bring them back to interact with your brand with the hope that they will purchase again.  Lifetime Value (LTV)-based businesses can benefit greatly.

Understanding your “digital path to purchase” is also very important. What info does a certain type of prospect need to move closer to purchase?  How do they wish to receive that?  When do they need to receive it?

The point is, MA may be a goal for some companies to aspire to while increasing more traditional (SEO, PPC, content marketing, etc.) top-of-funnel or bottom-of-funnel methods in the meantime. But, as costs drop and ease of use improves, the promise MA offers – that of allowing a small- or mid-sized company to “affordably” track the results of its marketing and sales spends – is closer to reality than ever before.

As with many new and shiny objects, the software and licensing costs of MA are declining fairly quickly while functionality is increasing. However, the implementation process has probably become only slightly more productive during that same time frame.

WSI Retained by Tom Needham Insurance for a New Website and SEO Implementation

Tom Needham Insurance has been offering better prices and the best in service in North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina for 18 years. As an independent insurance agency, they shop many of the top insurance companies in the United States and find the perfect plan for each person or company represented.

Recently Tom Needham Insurance partnered with WSI to provide a responsive website, on-page search engine optimization and local SEO. This investment in their online capabilities will enhance their level of customer service, making a dedicated effort to be found on any device and across multiple channels. This also gave their customers the ability to provide all their information and get rapid quotes online over a secure, trusted site.

After the initial keyword research was completed, additional pages, plus a blog, were added to their site for a better user experience and proper optimization. WSI also assisted with relevant content and optimized copywriting. In two months, seven new pages are being shown on page one of search results. Three examples are found below:

Now the primary focus will be on off-page optimization, including citation building and increased customer reviews. WSI will also provide relevant posts for their blogs created at Tumblr, WordPress and Blogger and posts for Google+ and their social channels.

WSI Connect Launches New Marketing Strategy for Walnut Creek Accounting Firm

WSI Connect was contracted by local accounting firm, Ernst Wintter & Associates to build, design and maintain a new website and implement a digital marketing strategy.

Upon the initial evaluation, WSI recommended a new website for Wintter with a design focused on lead conversion. The new and improved website launched this month with great reviews. WSI implemented a look that emphasizes Ernst Wintter’s four services and created a new page for each:

The world of taxes, accounting and auditing may be confusing to some, but Ernst Wintter’s new website concisely outlines the benefits of why a company would need, for example, an audit and what to expect during the process. New website content will include geo-modified keywords to aid in search engine results.

WSI Connect also created a blog for Ernst Wintter and is curating and distributing content both on their webpage and on offsite blogs such as WordPress, Tumblr, and Blogger. The blog articles have been optimized with anchor text that supports their four main lines of business. Topics will focus on areas of concern to their customers and prospective clients. The blog will serve to create educational value for their clients and their communities.

DoGoneFun! located in Chicago, Il was badly affected by the recent kennel cough outbreak.  Having to close their dog boarding facility as well as not taking any dogs for daycare drastically reduced revenue for this small local business.

With a micro focus on building their dog boarding business, WSI has implemented an online reservation system, written content based on factual information about the risks associated with boarding a dog as well as built site pages around boarding to better educated the public about the service that DoGoneFun! provides.
